Fossils at the Museum
The Altmühltal Nature Park’s museums are like an open window on the Jurassic world for all fossil enthusiasts.
The fossils exhibited at the paleontological museums in the Altmühltal Nature Park are rare and extraordinary: just think about the primeval bird, whose specimens has been found so far only in this region, or the Juravenator starki, the best-preserved predatory dinosaur in Europe. Other fossils are very frequent, such as the ammonite
that has become the symbol of the Altmühltal Nature Park.
