The Fuchsia and Herb Market in Wemding
Every year in May, this multi-coloured market livens up Wemding with beautiful flowers. The Marktplatz square becomes a colourful and fragrant carpet made of thousands of fuchsias. These wonderful flowers have been named after the botanist Leonhart Fuchs, who was born here in Wemding. The pyramid on the square in front of the Tourist Information Office is a true eye catcher: it is built with about 1,000 fuchsia plants expressly for this market and can be admired all Summer long.
