"Canal in Flames" and "Berchinale" Festivals

In Berching light becomes art: spectacular fireworks brighten up the canal and fascinating works of light illuminate the medieval old town. During the event "Canal in Flames" fireworks, processions with flaming torches in the water and fire shows brighten up the night sky and twinkle reflected in the dark water of the Main-Danube canal. It is truly a breath-taking show that can be admired in Summer evenings by music and culinary specialties. 

Every two years Berching also hosts the "Berchinale" festival: colourful plays of light brighten up the town’s medieval walls and works of light art by many artists embellish the old town. This event’s supporting program also includes an artists’ market, several exhibitions, guided tours and music events.
