A Great Historical Festival: the Tillyfest

Lansquenets, Swedish soldiers and smoking cannons: with the "Tillyfest" Breitenbrunn makes a journey through time back to the Thirty Years’ war. This historic festival honours the general Johann Tserclaes Count of Tilly, whom the prince elector Maximillian gave the small town of Breitenbrunn to as a present for rewarding his military feats. Many historic groups encamp here. Assaults for conquering the market place, fire shows, parades and tournaments for children come the one after the other during the whole weekend.
